Fly Fishing on the upper Salmon River

Troy booked us a full day guided fly fishing / Rafting Tour. So we got up early to be at Sunbeam at 8:00 am. Our Camp is 10miles up the Culver creek. 

Scott our guide welcomed us with a good cup of coffe and we practiced operating the rod. Then we were instructed in the safety ... for the boat ride.

Words can not tell how great that Day was. Fishing, Rafting, the creek, the montains, Scott the guide ....

We had a blast! I guess the pics Show it. Scott had so much fun too, since he never had a starter group like us. We booted 20plus trouds, steelhead and cutthrough, the native troud in the salmon river. 4 big ones with 14plus inch (35cm). All are release so.

He changed flies a lot. So we fished on water and also with the bulb and carried the fly in water.

On the last quarter mile we actually catched the fish of the Day. See foto. What a great memory Day. Thank you Troy and Scott.

Finished the Day with a great dinner at sunbeam caffe.
