25.09.2018 3days in townsville

                             Still saw corals

This morning I got up at 6am, ate, packed my things and sprinted to the meeting point. They said that we would receive an email should the trip get cancelled and so far I hadn't received one.

I went to the gas station port where we should meet at 7am. Then it was 7....and 7:15....7:30....the boat should depart now....and 8am. Still no email. Worrying that I might have missed it, I went to the harbor office where they told me that the boat hadn't left but also that nobody was there. So I wrote an email and they responded that the trip got cancelled because of the weather.

So I had nothing to do. After a little replanning, I resceduled the dive trips for 27.09 and 28.09, booked a trip to magnetic island tomorrow and went to the townsville aquarium today. 

It wasnt the biggest and some enclosures were a little small for the amount of fish in it but they had some really cool tours. In one of them you could even touch some seastars and the lady talked abou being able to touch the stingray "george" he has been in captivity for a long time and isnt that afraid of people anymore. During her presentation you could actually see him just laying there right next to her feet and he didnt move at all. Like really not a single movement. When she carefully waved the sand of george and looked at us: "ready?" With that she grabbed him and threw george towards one of kids in the front who immediatly screamed and ran off dropping the not very lively but more plastic based george figure to the ground.

The rest of the day I spent on the beach. Though I didnt go for a swim because one of the aquarium tours talked about all the different things that can hide and hurt you in the low ocean water. Sooo I was just being a bit safe.

After that I showered and, after I had a very delicious bacon,eggs,meat burger at mcdonalds, wanted to make to introduce myself to some folks at my hostel. However on the way back I came across a videogame/arcade bar. I decided to have a quick look. But I spent the next hours there, they had a very cool setup, board games, bar and even xbox game consoles with Halo!!! One of my favorite if not my absolut favorite game of all time.

So I basically found my new vault games, though vault games only had board games this bar called "empire" has rather few board games and focuses more on arcade. Though I will still probably spent a lot of time there.

Tomorrow I am going to magnetic island and after that I can hopefully go on a dive.

Also I passed my cambridge english exam with grade A! Which basically means that I should have been able to get the proficiency level, so even one lever higher.
