                          Back again 

This morning the kitchen was open at 6am. So I got ready had breakfast and was waiting outside at 7am. 

However at 7:20 I started to get a bit unsure. My data ran out a day ago so I didnt know if someone tried to text or call me. So I recharged my data.... But I had no missed messages.

So I gave Dave a call and I already heard from the sound of his voice that he fucked up. He forgot to pick me up but said he would come to get me.

After 30minutes Dave was here. He wanted to go to the eucalyptus plantation to cut some leaves for the Koalas. However on the way there he got a call. There is a "prison farm" near the plantation where prisinor could work and spent the day. However one guy managed to get out. Sooo the entire area around there was blocked and we were not allowed to get to the plantation.

Back at the sanctuary I helped the others with cleaning, raking and giving the animals their breakfast. Then after morning break I started cleaning the bird enclosures.

Ash was in a bad mood again today and it took a while until finally someone was able to pick him up. 

After that it was already time for lunch were we had some free cake since the kids from the birthday party today didnt eat all of it. Thank you kids😁.

We started with collecting all the trash and then put food into bags for the people to buy and feed to some of the animals.

Tomorrow is my last day already. Since I had a good time at the sanctuary I wanted to buy something for them. However when I was finally at the hostel the main store was already closed. So I went out to search for the smaller shops that were still open. 

First store I got in had a bunch of choclate snacks. I wanted to get 2, one for the rangers and also one for the kitchen since they made us free sandwiches daily. I found a small box of choclates without a price on it. So I asked and the cashier told me they were 15$! So for 2 that would be 30.....I looked around some more and found a package of cookies. 7$ for choclate 6cookies... next I thought I would just buy a bunch  of "Mars" Milky way" and "twix" but they would be even more expensive than the other 2. So yeah I went to the next store.

A small convenience shop a few blocks further was my next stop. Here I found a entire bag filled with different cookies. The same cookie-snacks they also had while I was diving here. So I new these were good. But again there was no price on it and the weight of the bag was intimidating.

Sweating I made my way to the cashier and asked how much this kilogramm of cookies was. He didnt know it so he offered to scan them, I gave him to cookies with fearing what I was about to  hear. He scanned the cookies...."no results" so he started to search for them in the system..... he didnt find anything.....

In strong indian accent he said " Oh sorry about this Sir, let me just call the boosman" 

I waited, crunching my teeth and digging my finger nails into the counter.

"Okay, yes thank you bossman"

He turned around and looked me in the eyes, it was now difficult to see him from all the sweat that was running down my face into eyes.

"Fivftheft"

WHAT? 50$? No wait 15? No that couldnt be. "Uhm sorry how much?"

"Five dollars, fifty cents, sir"

"Oooh wait, what really?"

"Yes sir"

"Oh....uhm......okay......I will get 2 of those please"

With enough cookies to supply a small army I left the store with 11$ dollars spend😁. Pretty sure that wasnt the right price....

I organised a few things for my very short stay in Hong Kong and then went to bed. Last day tomorrow.
