All of the volunteers and guests are from germany and since konstantin is also from germany we are basically talking german the entire time. Even johanna from sweden has no problem understanding german.

Today I learned how to take care of the dogs and everything else outside. First preparing the dogs breakfast, a mix of sausage with water, dry food and special "power" food. Heated up with water cookers to make it nice and warm. They even get breakfast before we get breakfast!

Though some dogs dont like breakfast, so they don't eat anything at all.
Then we get them ready for the run, johanna and constantin decide what dogs are put on which slead with what guest. They know exactly which dogs wont fight each other and how much power each of them bring. 

There are a few dogs that are not always allowed to run or not allowed to run together because they simply would be too powerful and too hard to control.

Luckily we had a bit of snowfall so it wasn't as icy anymore. After the guests left we played with the dogs again and also started "hacking" their dens. Because the snow falls and melts into ice and then there is more snow and more ice, so the dog dens basically have a 30cm thicc ice layer on top. Which has to be cleared so the dogs can still get to their food and sleeping places and dont jump into other enclosures.

After the run, all the leg and back muscles from the dogs need to be massaged. To make sure the blood flows through without problem. 

After lunch we took the dogs on a walk which meant tying the dogs to yourself and slowing them down while they pull you forward without hesitation. If you don't slow them down they would just run for the entire way.

The dogs get dinner again before we eat our own. Here every dog almost always eats everything. 

We talked for a while and slowly everyone went to bed. Tomorrow is my second intro to the dogs.
