Tragic loss of a traveller

Veröffentlicht: 05.07.2019

So we (Nat, Julia and me) have been to Montserrat which is a beautiful mountain formation. It also has a church, several stores and bars at the "basecamp". We had to be back at 3 because the car we were with was needed.

So we started going up around 11:30, the mood was good.

It looked on the map like you walk in a circle and the time was about 2h. After half an hour Julia couldnt continue because she felt bad in the heat, around 30°C and we lost a third of our team.

Nonetheless, we strived to the top! The way there was super awsome and the views great, here are my favourite fotos:

And in the end, after about 2 hours we were on the top.

But turns out it was no circular way and we had to go back the same route we came from. By that time that time it was already 13:10. To go back where the car was needed, takes us about 50 minutes..

We hurried up to get back down again, had no breaks to eat or rest and made it in just 1h!

Back in the basecamp we had no beer or refreshment, just washed our faces and raced back again. Of course we were a bit late but in the end it wasnt too much for spanish time keeping and was definitely worth the trip!
