Taylor lake Reservat to steamboat springs _ toughest ride ever!

Veröffentlicht: 08.06.2018

Hi looks like only the more pics where uploaded _ so here comes my story!!

3days at one spot was not planned. Need to cover ground again. Next stop steamboat springs northern CO. Next to my camp cottonwood pass would have brought me over to alpine_nathrop und up 24 direction vail... But was closed for paving. So started north Co 135 Crested Butte (great Littles resort village) having Kepler dirt road pass in mind. Luckily I did not know what was coming. Leaving crested Butte road changed to dirt. Then wet dirt. Slippery When wet 😀 _ but no yellow sign so. OK so slow riding no front break use at all. Changed to pavement for half mile. Then down the pass on dry gravel. After a mile road contr guy stopped me told me that now the real fun will start. The maintain the road which means the water it with a Chlorid water mix  and the  grade it with Cat graders. All right in front me for the next 7mls Downhill. FU..... going back would have meant 200miles detour_ so sh.. One day lost. I ready did 100. I have never ridden on something like that. Actually it was more like surfing _ only my board weighs 560lbs. 1st 2nd gear no breaking. Sweating like hell I made it!!

From the real scary parts I do not have a Pic too much scared to stop.

After that fantastic ride to steamboat. Especially the part in the Colorado River backroad vaey from Dotsero to McCoy. Great. Dirt again 😀 but better one.

Camp north of steamboat in NF seed house. Just fantastic _end of World with great neighbors. 100spots _ 4 occupied. 👍👍
