Our Car
Unfortunately, this time we didn't get such a luxurious car as on our last trip. The tent is only accessible from the outside, and the space in the driver's cabin and the storage area are smaller. But as travelers in all sorts of places around the world, we are flexible and adapt accordingly. Here are some photos from the interior
Our Travel Group:
There are four of us traveling:
Sue (64), a native Englishwoman raised in southern Africa and long-time resident of South Africa
Werner (74), born in Austria and traveling worldwide since youth, now living in South Africa
And both of us are 71 - a true group of oldies.
She has never been to Namibia, which is why we're seeing some sights for the second time, but that doesn't bother us.
Now about our travel day today:
We start early from Aus, fill up our two diesel tanks one more time, so we have 140 liters of diesel in the car. The drive through the Namib Desert always along the Tiras Mountains is beautiful again. Due to the intense rainy season that hopefully just ended a few days ago, the desert is green. The table is set for antelopes and ostriches. We see a few grazing along the route (sand road). Our path leads us to the Kanaan campsite. It consists of about 10 campsites, each with a shaded roof, a shower, a toilet, and a washing area. Everything is outdoors without a roof. The view of the green desert is very lovely!

Tomorrow we will continue into the desert, where we will spend the night again.
