After landing in Da Nang, I walked to my hostel. Unlike Hanoi, the city is much quieter, cleaner, and somehow more European, which is certainly due to the many large hotels. Arriving at my cozy little hostel, I immediately met my incredibly nice and loving hosts, who live on the ground floor and make their guests' stay as pleasant as possible.
After breakfast, my hostess organized a scooter for me for the week, as I want to explore Central Vietnam on two wheels.
My first destination should be the Marble Mountains, not far from Da Lang. Unique caves with many Buddha statues and accompanying music created a reverent atmosphere. Outside the caves, countless stairs led past pagodas up the mountain, where I enjoyed a wonderful view in good weather.
In the afternoon, I went to the beach, walked along the water's edge at 25 degrees and sunshine, and of course took a swim in the waves.
Tomorrow I will ride my 110cc motorbike to the city of Hoi An.
