...this is the motto for the next 1-2 weeks.
On Monday, Cindy and Bert arrived at the campsite in Isola di Capo Rizzuto and will practice doing “nothing”. There’s no entertainment or shop here, occasionally the cheese truck drives by, and no one speaks German. So it’s perfect.
Although there is always something to do, and at the top of the list was: finally organize the rear garage, as it was still too uncomfortable and cold in Germany for that. A particular joy was to store away the WINTER CLOTHES in a box at the very bottom!
The place itself is still largely in winter slumber; only the supermarket and a mixed-goods store with hardware, drugstore, and household items are open. The staff do their best and are simply courteous and charming. Where can you get extensive advice on taste and quality when buying sparkling water nowadays? I think I was even allowed to taste it 😎
Then the moment arrived - the altar of every camper was set up: the grill ✌🏻 Cindy immediately baked bread and Bert placed the longed-for steak on it.
On Tuesday, Cindy and Bert were then adopted: suddenly the kitten was sitting on Bert’s shoulder to help him with chopping and cooking, and even after the meal, she stayed to sleep there.
I initially named her “Tuesday”.
Oh, yes, there’s landscape here as well, and even a quite impressive fortress with foundations of ancient Greek origin. We will explore that soon, for now, just taking it slow….
Best regards, Cindy and Bert
