Out of the laundry room !

After the weather on the north coast was not really improving and Cindy and Bert realized that an island usually has a south coast as well, the direction was clear: go south !

On the way there, there was a quick stop inland in Menfi, because constant sound of the sea can bring about restless nights after a certain age. But something is still missing...so better continue to

Sciacca.

The city spectacularly climbs the mountain - so 'belly, legs, butt' for free, if you park in the harbor.

The panorama of the various shades of blue of the sea from the generous squares of the upper town is just as wonderful as the view from the pier up towards the city.

In the city with its winding alleys and more or less old buildings, also because the weather is at least better, this Mediterranean feeling that we all love and seek finally comes back.

Such travel happiness is only bearable because the nightly races of the young panda drivers (yes...really!) in the harbor, where we are staying, add a small touch of bittersweet to the idyll.

After 3 nights, we continue east towards Porto Empedocle, because Cindy and Bert want to travel along the south coast and then head up towards Siracusa. So there is a plan....actually 😎
