Since the weather on the rather northern Adriatic coast wasn't expected to be great, we sped down the highway towards Taranto and parked for the night at a hidden beach with an adventurous access in Pino di Lenne, about 25 km west of Taranto.
The Ionian Sea was also quite excited and bubbling with joy to see us!
In the morning, there was finally a brilliant sunrise, and when Cindy opened the window for a photo due to dirt, the alarm system greeted her and Bert excitedly, loudly disturbing the morning fishermen on the beach.
Whether the little shark was catapulted out of the sea or sadly just stranded, could not be determined, but it was still quite fresh.
Well, still no pictures, but awake early ✌🏻 And a morning walk on the beach is truly wonderful.
Cindy took advantage of the sun to recharge her light ear properly so that it would be nice and bright in the camper in the evening - sustainability is very important to her!
As more and more sportily ambitious and Sunday-motivated runners came to the beach, we could no longer endure this overwhelming activity from our folding chairs (and we only had a little bread left and had to shop anyway), so the purpose of the trip finally came into play:
Drifting and simply stopping!
We then did just that along the Calabrian coast and stopped in Momena, a sleepy place off-season - and fell asleep again with a view of the sea.
