Œufs en meurette in Verdun-sur-le-Doubs

Next on the agenda is Verdun sur le Doubs. There, we need to reduce our height at Gustav because we will be entering the Canal du Rhône au Rhin above Saint-Jean-de-Losne. The clearance heights on the canal are indicated to be 3.50 m up to Dole.

Since we don't have any locks to navigate that day, we reach our destination before noon. The registration at the Capitainerie was quickly completed, and we enjoyed a quick beer before mooring.

We were able to bring our bicycles well to the dock, so we then set off for Quain Devrouze. To make our ride a bit more pleasant, we decided to take the 25 km via the country road today. On our way back, we took a small break in Mervans.

We reached Gustav around 4:00 PM, decided to go eat, and took a short rest.

At Restaurant Le Caveau, we had a hearty meal, so we fell into bed not too late with full stomachs.
