1. MBC Speyer, Reffenthal on the Angelhofer Altrhein

We had planned our last stay at the 1. MBC Speyer on the Angelhofer Altrhein. The location is one of the most beautiful along the Rhine, which means the harbor is busy and well-frequented.

We had registered with the harbor master early but had to expect on the day that the guest berth would be overbooked, and we would have had to moor in a package. The summer night festival was celebrated at the club. Fortunately, the package mooring did not occur, allowing us to peacefully decorate our Gustav for the final leg.

The journey from Iffezheim to Speyer is akin to riding on a cannonball. Due to the narrowing of the Rhine with the groynes, there is an enormous current in its narrow fairway. Thus, after our early departure, we were able to dock in Speyer before noon.
