Day 4 – Between Deep Relaxation and High Flying
The fourth day of vacation began – surprise – with sunshine and breakfast. A certain routine is slowly developing here. After that, the plan was set: relax on the beach. And this time, really relax.
So we headed towards the beach. Although saying we 'headed' there is a bit of an exaggeration, as of course there is a shuttle service for the approximately 500-meter walk. One doesn’t want to overwhelm the hotel guests with extreme sports, after all.
Upon arriving at the beach, we first strategically claimed the loungers. And something completely unexpected happened: I actually read a book. Voluntarily. Everything seems possible on vacation.
Then came that one dangerous vacation idea: “Should we go parasailing?” And as it often goes in situations like this, we were standing by the motorboat a few minutes later asking about it. The response: “Now it’s possible.”
So off we went.
And what can one say? Absolutely amazing experience. Soaring high above the sea, the view, the adrenaline – truly incredible. At the same time, one must acknowledge: The people here are excellent at extracting money from you with a smile. But at least they do it with style.
Full of adrenaline, we returned to the beach… and then really just laid back down on the loungers as if it were completely normal to have just flown through the air. Vacation can be strange.
In the afternoon, we took the shuttle back to the hotel. Dinner today was framed by not one, but two walks – probably an attempt to make room for the buffet.
And yes… I like to mention it again: You can really shop excellently here. The suitcase is likely already reporting overweight before we even get to the airport.
In the evening, the hotel surprised us with a Turkish night – very traditional, great atmosphere, and a really nice end to the day. Overall, we feel incredibly comfortable and well taken care of here.
Let’s see what adventure awaits us tomorrow.
