First, we went up to the Okatse Canyon. The gorge can be explored on a 780m long hanging path that has been carved into the cliff face. The walk itself was just as exciting as the destination at the end: a 20m long observation platform that hangs over 100m above the gorge. With a hundred steps to tackle and the heat of 34 degrees, I was glad to have my fan with me... Pure adrenaline rush.
A day later, our path led us to the Martvili Canyon. A short stroll took us through the former resort of the ruling Dardiani family. Such a roaring canyon really offers a special kind of relaxation. During a small boat tour through the canyon, I was once again reminded: Mother Nature is truly beautiful! Anyone who cannot see this in Georgia is beyond help.
