Tuscany Tour - 1st Stop: Arezzo

Our first stop in Tuscany was Arezzo. On Palm Sunday, we witnessed how the city transformed into a massive antiques and flea market. We thoroughly explored this market.

From the tower of the Fraternita dei laici palace, one could gaze down at the impressive Piazza Grande.

We visited the birthplace of Petrarch and went to the churches Santa Maria della Pieve (see building with semi-circular apse) and Santa Domenico.

From Arezzo, one could also enjoy a great view of the surrounding countryside.

It was a beautiful day that had yet to reach its end...
