Tuscany Tour 2nd Stop: Cortona

...to admire the sunset, we traveled to one of the oldest mountain villages of Tuscany: Cortona. The ascent was arduous, but it was worth it. Not only because of the view - we could even spot Lake Trasimeno from the neighboring Umbria - but also because of the impressive church Santa Margherita. Unfortunately, we didn't make it to the Museo della Academia Truscae della Acittà di Cortona.

But the first day in Tuscany was coming to an end and we headed back to our accommodation: a former monastery - Certosa di Ponignano Residenza d'Epoca in Ponte A Bozzone near Siena.
