HOULY COW!!! Last night was crazyyyy! 🤯
At 2:00 AM, we were all wide awake. And NOT voluntarily!
The storm was so fierce that our camper was literally shaking! We were really worried it might tip over! 😰
And the poor other people. Looking out the window gave a direct view of a HUGE chaos!
Tents being blown away, people running around with their flashlights, taking down their tents - or what was left of them - and either disappearing into the communal room or driving away in their cars. It was a complete mess. 😬
The funniest part was that really all tents and even a roof tent were blown over or even away, and our camping chairs were blown out from under the camper.
So that's not funny, but what's funny is that Päpu had set up our camping table the night before. And THAT was still standing. 🤣
It must have been perfectly positioned in the wind shadow! Our chairs, which were UNDER the camper, ended up seven meters further back and the table didn't even tip over! 😳
The nice long grasses - flattened down.
The next morning we drove towards the glacier lagoon and beach.
First, we stopped at a HUGE glacier. Sooo beautiful! We took a lot of pictures.
It was extremely impressive that it wasn't just visible high up the mountain like at home. It came right up to our feet, down to the ground.
The beach, however, was not an ordinary beach.
