From David in Panama, it was a day earlier than planned by bus to San José, because the original booking was canceled. It probably also had to do with the unrest in Panama, and the bus was surprisingly empty again.
The first evening in San José was very promising; we had a hostel in the nightlife district and there was a lot going on with a good atmosphere. We wrapped up the evening in a small craft beer bar and were in good spirits.
However, the city felt like a backdrop in the following days and not really alive, even when there were people on the street. The National Museum and the Jade Museum were worth seeing, even if in some places a special selection was done and everything they had was just crammed into the display cases.
After our not-so-successful road trip through the country, we returned to the city to take our flight to Las Vegas from there. This time, we chose accommodation in the market center. Here, everything was simpler and
