...through the enchanting Hoi An. I even make one myself. Everything is colorful and full of light.

I cook spring rolls and papaya salad. At the market, I quickly pass the meat stand but get a high five because I recognize so many types of vegetables and herbs.

I suddenly like lychees, at least the ones available here - and also the 3 other fruits that taste similar and whose names I have forgotten.

In the evening, I let a candle with my wish float on the river and see the other flames and lights around me.

I spin in the Coconut Basket Boat so fast in circles that I have a bruise on my back the next day. However, I have no mosquito bites.

I buy three and a half souvenirs and finally have a vegetarian Bánh mì again. Additionally, I have a dress tailored, another first for me in my life.

I enjoy a Salted Coffee during a personal conversation and a Coconut Coffee by myself. I like that both are very nice.

I push my way through crowds and fend off the constant attempts to pull me into a massage or a shop. I buy a mango cake from the woman in the side street, which, as I learn, contains no mango at all. Still, it’s delicious.

Everything is colorful and full of light, inside and out. It takes me a while to find the light switch within me, but there it is. And I am here. And it is really beautiful here!
