Today Lisa and I are the late risers: half past seven!
Bettina and Christian are already busy tidying up. This time breakfast consists of the leftovers and is mostly eaten between the kitchen and the terrace. By the time we have really put everything away, looked for (and found) the keys and checked everything, it is half past ten.
So we leave Grado calmly and calmly over the dam and desperately search for a mailbox. It's the same problem as in Austria - there aren't any left. But just before the motorway in a small village there's one hanging around - will it ever be emptied?
Then the usual question from Lisa: "When will we get there?"
And now we are on the autostrada heading north. It rains briefly near Udine and Lisa falls asleep. The planned purchase of Italian delicacies is probably not going to happen. We cross the border and Lisa sleeps and sleeps and we drive and drive...
We finally stop at the pack: 3 hours of sleep and driving are enough. Lisa gets a pirate coloring book, a pee cell phone and pirate ice cream. I enjoy a Wiener Schnitzel.
Lisa sang almost continuously for the last 50 kilometers and so we spent the whole trip from Grado to Graz without music/radio/CD.
When Lisa arrives home, she has planned a cuddle attack with her mom, so there is plenty of hugging and snuggling.
Entry in the logbook: almost 700 km, there and back.
