Pisa 2026 - Day 9

Monday, July 6, 2026 – Day 9

Saying goodbye to Giulio, we still take his own red wine senza etichette (I also swapped the weird 50er right away) and at Conad, we get some good food to take home. Then off to the autostrada back home via a loop exit (an Italian construction company must have needed a job there), but unfortunately, we find ourselves in traffic very soon, so we divert to the Autogrill in Montecatini Terme for our second coffee. Continuing with slow traffic until Bologna, then it gets a bit better. We make a stop to refuel so that we can make it to Villach with the last drops of sparkling water.

Then we want to visit the horses, and Burger King in Graz brings us back to reality. Back @ home by 8 PM with 151,766 km, so 2,026 km later.

Summary: A beautiful, relaxing vacation with my beloved daughter. Excellent food, lots of sights and experiences, and the unplanned rest days were the best, the real vacation days.
