Change of scenery

Actually, the taxi was booked and everything was arranged. I had a suspicion that it might not work out. It's New Year's and holiday time, everything is a bit different. Some accommodations are closed as well. But no problem at all. The host of the accommodation quickly found me another place. And he was such a nice guy. He drove very cautiously and was very considerate of my comfort. As we left Ella, I was reminded again of how beautiful this area is. Today I drove to Tissamaharama. Here, I booked a kind of treehouse. Since I am probably the only guest, I got the best one. Very rustic, but with a mosquito net and located directly by the lake with a wonderful view. A safari is planned for tomorrow, but unfortunately there don't seem to be any other guests in the area for that, so I'll be taking a private tour. I'm curious. I'm especially looking forward to the sounds tonight. Everything is open. Shortly after my arrival, a large lizard appeared right in front of my hut. Pure nature. The hosts are very friendly and speak as poorly English as I do.😀 There is no restaurant nearby. The family is providing for me.
