What a disaster

The accommodation in Thissamaharama was very charming. When I asked about breakfast, she said yes, of course, in about 30 minutes. I noticed that the man left twice to fetch some ingredients. I felt a bit embarrassed for asking about breakfast. After 60 minutes, I received Hoppers with Coco Samba. Hoppers is a very thin dough made from rice and coconut flour shaped like a bowl. Coco Samba was finely chopped coconut meat with chili and other spices. Just slightly spicy and delicious with the Hoppers. Everything was homemade. There were cakes and fruits too, what more could you ask for? They also organized a taxi to Galle for me. Here, I had a simple accommodation right by the fortress with a view of the sea. The fortress was built by the Dutch in 1663. It is the largest preserved European fortress in Asia. A mix of colonial architecture, narrow streets with cafés and restaurants. In the mornings, I walked around the fortress twice; it felt good to be active again. Many locals were already out and about.

And then I set myself another task: to take the train to the Ayurveda hotel. I got to the train station by Tuk Tuk. Getting a ticket was no problem. There is only 3rd class, but that's fine. I got on the train and often asked if it was the right train. It was always confirmed. I sat in the last carriage. First mistake 😉. At the first stop, I realized that I couldn't see how the station was named at all. There were no announcements. I didn’t think to check Google Maps. Silly me. So I admit, I missed the station. I was also almost the only tourist among the many people. I traveled 20 km further, got off, and the first Tuk Tuk angel appeared. Okay, then back to the Princess. 😂. It was quite a sight when I arrived totally sweaty with my backpack in the Tuk Tuk at the luxury bunker. To greet me, there was a delicious juice and some general information. When I signed up for the Ayurveda, I received a fantastic hand and foot massage as a gift today. A bit disappointing is that one is not supposed to swim here directly by the sea due to undertows. But the garden area with the pool is beautiful. Tomorrow I have the doctor's consultation, and then the adventure begins. Today I had to make use of the laundry service; I feel a bit ragged 😂
