Probably the last time

Thunderstorms were forecasted for today; this morning it was sunny, and only now (4:40 PM) is it getting gloomy. This has been the pattern every day here in Ella. There is rain expected in the evening.

Today, I set out to hike the route to Little Adam's Peak. The first highlight was the Nine Arch Bridge, a railway viaduct with 9 arches dating back to the colonial period. It’s currently New Year’s here, and there’s quite a lot of activity 😀. I took a break at a small café and enjoyed a lemon juice. Once again, I met some really nice guys. They are always very eager to help. Continuing past a small lake, a luxury hotel, and just before Little Adam's Peak, there’s a beach club with plenty of outdoor activities. The summit consisted of two hills; I sat for a while and enjoyed the scenery. I often find myself tearing up here because I really shouldn’t be sitting alone.

I had my first delicious coffee in the village, and the pumpkin soup with the German bread was also tasty.
