Today, the three of us traveled from Sygiriya to Kandy. It’s convenient as it costs less this way. We made a stop in Dambulla to see the famous cave temple. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the best-preserved sites of cave art in the world. This cave complex is located 160 meters above the ground in the middle of a massive rock formation that dominates the entire landscape. All the caves focus on telling the life stories related to the life of Buddha and the ethics of Buddhism.
After that, we headed to Kandy (what a hustle and bustle). We took a Tuk Tuk to the city, where a nice gentleman showed us the market, a great opportunity to shop for some spices. And then finally, we got something to eat.😊.
