Since I always wake up very early here, I like to take a walk in the morning. It’s too much hustle and bustle for me to jog here. After breakfast, we visited the famous Tooth Temple of Kandy. It is a Buddhist temple where, according to tradition, the left tooth of the historical Buddha Siddhartha Gautama is preserved as a relic. For me, it’s a temple where I feel comfortable, I don't know why, just a feeling. I simply sat down among the worshippers, closed my eyes, and soon the tears started flowing. Afterwards, we were repeat offenders and went to the same café as last night. I indulged and had a very delicious banana pancake. My companion and the Indian then headed to Nuwaray Elia, while I had booked one more night in Kandy in advance. In the afternoon, I wanted to go back to the forest above Kandy Lake, but when I reached a footpath by the forest, two rangers were there and said it was closed due to wild animals? I have no idea if that was true. Instead, a local took me to a cultural event. But honestly, it was a tourist trap. Got fooled 😏.
