Final Sprint
We leave the hotel fully motivated. The bike path mainly runs through fields between the villages. It rained once more, but I think that was the last time ☺️. Robi confidently...

Yesterday I set off. Robi accompanied me to the airport. Nice gesture, thank you for that. I love Frankfurt Airport, it is the gateway to the wide world. The flight was 10 hours long, I was a bit worried about my shaky hand, but everything was okay. Upon arriving in Colombo, I waited for the taxi I had already booked. Unfortunately, there was nobody who wanted to take Grandma Ulli. A quick phone call revealed that the ride was canceled, and I would get my money back from the agency. Around me were several other taxi drivers who also wanted to do business with me. It was a 3-hour ride. All of this annoyed me, so I contacted my accommodation to see if they could help. Within 10 minutes, a taxi arrived, and the price was still reasonable. Now that worked out. During the ride, I kept dozing off; I was pretty tired. Upon arriving at the accommodation, I was welcomed very kindly and immediately met an Austrian woman who was also traveling alone. We quickly booked a safari tour for tomorrow and today went on a boat tour on a lake. We did the boat tour with three of us; an Indian joined us. I love exactly these kinds of spontaneous situations, and they only happen when traveling. Today, I barely felt my hand, so much so that I almost forgot about Mr. P. The three of us went out to eat, and regarding English, I am being challenged here. 😏. I fell into bed utterly exhausted, thinking firmly of Lenny, who is having surgery tomorrow.
