Rust-brown figures high above the Danube

In the Austrian town of Wesenufer on a bank of the Danube, numerous mythological creatures, animals and people made of rusty metal are romping about on a meadow. It is the Fahrner Sculpture Park. Annemarie and Günther Fahrner are two metal sculptors who live and work here. Their figurative steel sculptures are often larger than life. The focus is on mythological themes. They use scrap metal as their raw material. This material already has a history and is brought to life in a different context in the sculptures. The sculpture park is right next to their studio. You can stroll across the meadow and look at the many different sculptures.
