Arrival in the morning in Da Nang, Vietnam, and docking at the pier in the Han River. The New Year celebrations are still ongoing here.
Vietnam, the elongated country on the East Sea, covers an area of 331,000 km² and has a coastline of 3,200 km. It is a country with a very eventful history and perhaps that’s why it is so diverse and colorful.
We will visit the two neighboring cities of Da Nang and Hoi An.
Da Nang, known for marble processing, features the Marble Mountains with five hills, temples, pagodas, and viewpoints. Beautiful beaches, for example, Da Nang Beach, with the distinctly visible 77m high Lady Buddha statue, as well as the legendary 666m long Dragon Bridge.
Hoi An, famous for its very attractive old town, river crossings with partly covered bridges, and riding in the 'Coracles', the special round boats in the 'Tram Tran Coconut Forest'.
