Wedding Bells
... Well, there may not be any bells, but I am already looking forward to our wedding. We will keep it small, and only our parents will be present at the civil ceremony in...

On the weekend before the big day, my girls whisked me away for a beautiful bachelorette party.
The adventure was announced through a mysterious package that was delivered a week prior, containing various hints - and, above all, glitter - that didn’t mean much to me, but the sweets didn’t go stale.
I was also very delighted with the self-compiled album of songs from the Rock Studio, a disco we used to visit often.
On Friday, we headed to the meet-up at Café Blue in Sendling, which used to be a common meeting point for some of the girls.
Right after arriving, I was appropriately dressed in a cool zip hoodie with Pusheen on the back.
After a hearty breakfast, we went on a scavenger hunt through my youth. We have all known each other since school and have experienced quite a bit together over the years.
The first clue was a self-composed rock song that was really catchy and was played several times that weekend. The content pointed the way to the former apartment in Sendling where I grew up. The successful solution was rewarded with a shot of schnapps for everyone.
The next stop was then supposed to lead us 750 meters in the direction we had come from. A bit confused, I stumbled in the direction of Harras, unsure of what the actual target was.
The second stop was the Harras Edeka, where we used to buy candy often. Here, there was also the task of buying an Alkopop. Back then, the drinks were still distinguishable from the remaining alcohol, but nowadays there are so many mixed drinks that aren't called Alkopop anymore, so a specific drink was provided as a hint.
With Bine as support, I wandered around the Edeka, and after some searching, we found the appropriate beer-mixed drink with mint flavor. So we quickly headed towards the register and then out... But suddenly the cashier asked me for my ID. Completely perplexed, I rummaged through my wallet when I spotted Alyona grinning on my right... Aha, seems like there was some help involved.
Outside, the loot was of course also tasted and was actually not that bad. But there was still no pause, instead, the next clue in the form of a song from the Buffy musical episode and the question of where we had acted and recorded that part together (we reenacted the musical episode of the TV series with a video camera. Fortunately, the result was never found again).
So we headed to a playground at Neuhofer Berg where the next hint was hidden. Since I also enjoy geocaching, the hint was hidden accordingly. I searched for a bit longer. Meanwhile, the girls were chatting with snacks and swings.
The note was ultimately pinned under the trash can and contained a slightly altered story from our youth, which led us down to Thalkirchner Bridge and to Flaucher. Here, we also took a little break with beer and snacks.
We often celebrated birthdays here in the past and sat until late at night by the Isar.
The next clue led me to the old Jewish cemetery, where we filmed the Buffy finale scene back then, and there was another hint hidden in the area. I quickly found the poorly graded school report and immediately knew where the journey was going. For this stop, I first had to drink some courage, as the Klenze Gymnasium is not exactly one of my best memories, except that I met most of my friend group there and am really glad that we still have such a close relationship today.
At Klenze, we first had a shot on the school grounds and took pictures, after which we were approached by two students. They were very interested in what the group of drunk women was doing on the premises. We chatted for a bit and found out that the students seem to have become more well-behaved after our time... Back then, there were disciplinary proceedings several times a year, but that hasn’t happened in a long time apparently.
Not far from Klenze, we finally met the last two girls, Corinna and Velvet, who had been struggling all day with the rental car that had given up the ghost. Now we were off on a grand journey towards Kufstein, where we checked into a really rustic accommodation, complete with a welcoming cat.
In the evening, there was also a nice program with an Austrian dinner and an original gin bar in Kufstein, which was partially carved into the rock and where you could still see the bare stone well.
We took the weekend easy with an extensive breakfast including freshly laid eggs at the accommodation and rolls.
After that, we tried the sauna behind the house and cooled off in the light drizzle. Anna S. even jumped into the icy swimming pond. I only dipped my feet in the freezing water.
During the day, we played a few bachelorette party and drinking games and relaxed. In one game, Simon was interviewed beforehand, and I had to guess his answers. A few times, the answers even matched. It was definitely very funny.
We wrapped up Sunday with a joint brunch at a monastery restaurant on the way back home, then said our heartfelt goodbyes in Vaterstetten.
Velvet had to make the car free of bachelorette party decorations before returning it, as there was quite a bit of decoration. Passing cars definitely knew immediately what there was to celebrate.
I am very happy about this wonderful and well-thought-out weekend with the girls, and I hope there will be many more joint activities to come ❤️.
