On July 26th, we landed in Manila and after a few hours' stay, we flew directly to Puerto Princesa in Palawan. There, we finally reunited with Christian and Jhed along with their children and took a taxi together for the 2.5-hour journey to Mecaja.
And thus, we have arrived – Mecaja will now be our new place of residence: In about two months, we will move into a newly built longstay bungalow that is somewhat secluded but still more or less located on the resort grounds. After that, a second bungalow is to be built – as well as Christian and Jhed's own house.

What awaits us here will be revealed – there will definitely be a lot to do. The plans include roasted cashews in various flavors and homemade coconut wine for guests, a pizza and smoking oven that we want to build together with Christian, and a small herb and vegetable garden around the house with everything we need for cooking. A few animals are also expected to join us eventually – and the currently very paperwork-heavy resort operation is planned to gradually become a bit more digital. So there will be plenty to write about in the upcoming entries.
