Kim Bong Carpentry Village is located on Cam Kim Island, south of Hoi An. Here, you can watch craftsmen create traditional wooden art, carvings, and boat building. Fine wooden constructions have been made here since the 16th century – a well-known example is the Japanese Bridge in Hoi An. The entrance fee is 35,000 VND per person, which allows you to try mat weaving for free and even attempt a small carving yourself. We had a lot of fun doing this, and it was exciting to try out some craftsmanship and learn about the various tools.
