Montreal - Quebec
Onward to Quebec, that was our goal for today. And Montreal made our farewell easier. It was raining. Before we completely said goodbye, there were still two places we wanted to...

After arriving quite early yesterday, we quickly went to a laundromat. Nearby, we found a great pizzeria. Three Germans dining in an Italian pizzeria in the French part of Canada...
Today, we took it easy and ventured into the old town only around lunchtime. But we found a fantastic café serving breakfast until 2 PM, perfect for us:
After that, a beautiful old town awaited us. Quebec is, so far, the most beautiful of the three cities we have visited. However, it also had the largest influx of visitors. We escaped the crowds by taking the ferry to Levis. The most affordable way to view Quebec from the river, instead of a harbor tour.
The Fairmont Le Château Frontenac 5* hotel dominates the old town from every direction, very impressive.
But the Saint Louis gate, the Citadel, and the Dufferin Terrace are also definitely worth seeing. To get from the Basse-Ville to the Haute-Ville or, of course, vice versa, there is an elevator or many stairs. We opted for the sporty option 😅.
There were beautiful or even surprising things to discover everywhere, like a winter toboggan run right in the city.

There are many lovely retail shops. Not only (but also) souvenir shops. Additionally, many stores with art, jewelry, clothing, a Christmas shop 🎅, a flower shop, small mini-supermarkets, and really many restaurants.
A fantastic city!
