After choosing one of the various tours, we set off after a relaxing morning for a longer hike.
With a fresh 12 degrees, we started on our way.
The tour was wonderfully diverse, with lakes, ascents, and cliffs offering fantastic views, a beaver dam, and plenty of squirrels. We really enjoyed the tour.
And then came the highlight. After we all enjoyed the beautiful vistas, we heard a crackling in the forest. Cautiously, we looked closer and there stood a cow moose and her calf nibbling on young trees. As we approached to take pictures, the calf heard us and quickly jumped back into the denser forest. The cow moose, however, was not disturbed:
