In the afternoon, we already traveled to the next village, Sauwandarek. First, we explored the place a bit. It is significantly cleaner than other places in Indonesia or Papua New Guinea. They also refer to themselves as an ecological village and have many information signs for ecological behavior.
It is also very well-maintained and picturesque. The properties of the houses are surrounded by plants, and there are wide paths between the houses. The village has about 100 residents, a church, various small shops, a kindergarten, and a primary school.
We invested our Indonesian Ruoien in a carving, as we will be leaving Indonesia this evening.
