We arrived in Misool as scheduled. It rained quite a bit in the early morning. After that, the rain subsided. We first took a longer trip with the Zodiacs.
The small islands were tectonically elevated from the sea and are now eroding again. One could imagine this as a hideout for the villain in a James Bond movie. There are actually a few huts. They are used by fishermen, and the huts for tourists seem to no longer be in use and are falling into disrepair.
Since they are very small islands, there are few land animals, and the flora is also not very diverse. However, various rocks have drawings made by the Aborigines. As they are heavily exposed to the elements, they are not easy to recognize.
In the afternoon, we will land on a small island with a sandy beach and coral reef and spend a beach and snorkeling afternoon.
