Days 5 and 6 Pachapumpum
Hello dear ones, I am only writing today on day 6. On day 5, we were at the Pachapumpum volcano. It was magnificent. The nature, the mountains along the way, but the drive was...

So dear ones, Ines is fit as a fiddle again, I believe the pharmacy got most of my money ;). Today we were in the canyon and at the market, I wanted to cook today.
The way to the canyon this time was really just eyes closed and push through. I'll say it this way, I survived it ;)
I ordered an Uber since I received an 80% price reduction for Ayacucho, so I only paid 5.30 Soles... for now. Then the guy showed up and said he had never been there and the way is really far, he wanted another 30 Soles. I had Pepe with me and learned that I don’t save through him, he always agrees to everything. So, I gave him the money. Then up the mountain, at a pace where I had to close my eyes. Totally crazy. Again, switchbacks, again at the edge, just a sandy road. One slip and goodbye Ines.
The canyon was a dream. Fascinating the rocks, the light, the calm. I could have stayed in there forever.
But eventually, that's over too, and we had decided to cook today. It was supposed to be sweet potato soup and goulash soup. So back down the mountain. A small bus came. Normally for 8 people. At some point, I stopped counting. In the end, a mother with a toddler and a huge package of raw beef wrapped in a cloth came along. This was to be sold at the market. And for all this, we paid 5 Soles. Find the mistake. Oh, and something comes to mind about Day 5. We saw them butchering a cow by the roadside. Right on the street. That was quite a spectacle.
Okay, back to Day 7. The little bus was so rickety and so old that I was afraid it would fall apart. This vehicle shot up the mountain, this time down, so I prayed that the brakes wouldn't fail. Survived again... We got off at the market. The smells there are priceless, not in a positive way. We bought beef and vegetables and took a motor taxi home. When I think about it, there are millions of motor taxis, Ubers, taxis, mopeds, and buses, and they all get along, which is unthinkable for us. At home, we cooked, I even invited the landlord, it always somehow works out that he’s around ;).
Tomorrow evening I'm heading to Cusco, and I won’t be able to write again until Day 9. With the night bus for 12 hours, wish me luck, see you soon, and I'm looking forward to it :)
