Tag 27 Back to Lima :)

Hello dear friends, my journey ends tomorrow; I will be heading home at 6:40 PM Peruvian time.

Today, I actually wanted to walk along the beach in the other direction. However, the weather was not nice, so I quickly decided to go to the historic downtown. Unfortunately, the Plaza de Mayor was not open; everything was cordoned off. There was a lot of police presence, and the government building was off-limits even from a distance. There were also some demonstrations, so I had to make do with what was available. I actually remember the downtown being much, much nicer. A lot of places were closed or no longer accessible. It's actually quite a shame. I can recall there being something like a shopping street, but that was no longer the case. However, I don't want to complain; it was still interesting. In the end, I didn't get back to my accommodation until 6:00 PM. Let's see how tonight goes. My Peruvian roommates only started cooking at 11:00 PM yesterday. Unfortunately, they are quite indifferent to the noise level. Today doesn't look any better. I wanted to enjoy some time on the balcony, but I believe that's not going to happen. Well then, time for Netflix :))

Tomorrow at 12:00 PM, I need to check out; I'm not quite sure what I’ll do yet. There's still plenty of time until the flight. I'll decide spontaneously)

I'm already looking forward to seeing all of you again. To my bed, some peace, and not many dogs ;)

Two years ago, I didn't notice so much that the streets are incredibly congested with cars; when we talk about smoke in Berlin…forget it, this is real smoke, in Ayacucho, in Cusco, or even Lima. It's such that you could walk faster than you could travel by taxi or bus. That's something I really won't miss. I will miss the mountains, the feeling of freedom in the Andes. The tranquility there, the friendly people. I'm saying goodbye now and will get in touch once I'm back in Germany. I love you all, stay healthy, happy, and content. Almost nothing more is needed :)
