Day 22 The rainy season has begun

Hello dear ones, I believe there's not much to tell today. The rainy season has begun. It rained almost all day. I had arranged to meet Ludwig for lunch, and we went to a place near a beautiful market, to a ceviche restaurant. In Peru, many sidewalks are tiled or paved with smooth stones, which makes walking quite tiring since it's very slippery. The restaurant was very nice, and my ceviche was delicious. We each had a beer with it, and to top it off, we were given a Pisco Sour on the house. We were both pleasantly tipsy and then went to the market. From there, I headed to the mall, where there's a supermarket with everything you can't find elsewhere. I wanted to cook a chicken soup in the evening following my grandpa's recipe, and on Friday, I plan to make potato salad to say goodbye, as they requested. My potato salad includes mayonnaise and pickles, which I could only find there. On the way home, I ended up arguing with the taxi driver who didn't have any change at the end. I've dealt with that before, but that's just Peru. You have to expect that. I couldn’t insult him in Spanish ;) At home, I made a nice soup. Here, even the chicken tastes different than at home. Everyone liked it. That's the main thing. Tomorrow, despite the rain, I want to go to Ollantaytambo. I will take the colectivo again; that's the easiest way. I need to see something again. There is no bad weather, only the wrong clothing, which I definitely packed this time :)) Last time it was much warmer. But that's fine; everything was manageable. So I'm looking forward to tomorrow,,,,
