Hello dear ones, here I am again. Yesterday I didn't do much except go out to eat with Ludwig, help Harly, and cook. I wasn't feeling well either, my...

Hello dear ones, yesterday I wrote that I wanted to run on the beach. I did that. From the 9th floor, the beach looks great. Upon arriving down, the sobering reality hit. I didn’t even make it to the ‘beach’, everywhere, how should I explain this, there were flattened areas where caterpillars had driven over, you couldn’t even get down to the rocky beach, there was trash everywhere, I was appalled. Truly appalled. But Ines doesn't let that influence her, she keeps walking. So I continued to walk along the sea (it was supposed to be a beach walk) and hoped it would get better. Unfortunately, there were also homeless people hiding in the bushes and sleeping. That wasn’t my problem but their dogs. My heart sank and I walked further above. It gradually got better, after about 10 km I could finally get to the water. A complete rocky beach but still fascinating. The Pacific was super wild and rough. Many surfers were in the water, I think just about every nationality was represented. I had often seen at the airport that surfers had brought their surfboards. The sky was initially well covered, but it got better and better. I ended up liking it. After 15 km, I arrived at the spot where I had been in 2003. Crazy, hardly changed. I was really happy.
Well, the people in Lima have an incredible number of dogs. I don’t mean the stray ones. And they all wear something. How creepy. There was a family, I think it was a communion, the girl in a white tutu dress and what should I say...the dog too. How terrible.
I then had a small snack and made my way back. I walked above though. It wasn’t shorter but definitely safer :) And Peruvians stroll, they don’t walk, they stroll. You see, they have time. Difficult for me as a fast runner ;).
Overall, I have to say it was a beautiful day, shocking but also fascinating. Today was a trip to Miraflores. (Honestly, I thought I lived in Miraflores and ended up walking 15 km to the center).
Tomorrow I'm taking the other direction to Barranco, looking forward to it : See you tomorrow :))
