Day 23 Ollantaytambo

Hello dear ones, today I was in Ollantaytambo, the best idea ever. It was so beautiful. Woke up in the morning, had breakfast and went to the collective garage. Got in and off we went. Just before Ollantaytambo, there were traffic controls and something was wrong with the scales, which cost us 30 minutes, but it doesn't matter, it's vacation. When we arrived there, I wanted to visit the ruins that you can see in the pictures. However, I would have to buy a ticket for everything, which would have cost me 130 Soles, and I only wanted to see that part. Just visiting would have cost 70 Soles, but it was only possible in a group. Then my stinginess got the better of me again. But then I was told that there were also ruins on the other side. From there, you can see the ruins here well. And there’s no entry fee. Of course, Ines then went there. There was a little house where you had to sign in, as the path was quite dangerous. You should be able to climb a bit, be free of giddiness, and maintain your balance. But it was simply wonderful, the view, the tranquility. There were just a few Japanese and Americans there, but they disappeared soon. I actually wanted to go all the way to the top. Unfortunately, that was closed. A lot of gravel had come down. Well, I was still very satisfied. When I was back down, I strolled through the town and had something to eat. I think I ate alpaca for the first time. It was delicious, a real explosion of flavors. I would grill that at home too. Very tender, great.

After that, I searched for another colectivo, found one at the market, it was high time, and by 5:00 PM, I was back in Cusco. They stopped somewhere in Cusco again and said it was the final stop, and I again didn’t know where I was. Near the center, yes, but where. And I had to deal with the porcelain and then search. Google Maps helped again, and I asked the passersby. It went quite quickly. Tomorrow is my last day in Cusco; on Saturday I fly back to Lima. Tomorrow I will help Harly clean up the bar (he has a bar downstairs in the house) and tidy it up because he has rented it out for Saturday. At noon, I want to meet Ludwig again for lunch and in the evening have a cozy get-together with Sandra and Harly. I'll cook something ;) So I'm looking forward to tomorrow :))
