Day 14 On the Way to the Mall of Cusco

Hello everyone, today was supposed to be a quiet day, so I thought I would check out the Mall of Cusco. My friend Govi had told me about it, and I couldn’t believe it at first. I wanted to see it with my own eyes. And since I didn’t want to be lazy, I walked there. It’s always fascinating how rich and poor live right next to each other here. Where tall skyscrapers exist next to one or two-story houses. I’m not quite clear on the architectural styles here. Every square centimeter seems to be paved. When I finally arrived at the mall, it felt like a time leap. I walked in; I could have been in Berlin. Amazing. H&M and Levi’s were also there. For a moment, I thought I was home. After coming out, it felt just like before :) I can’t even imagine that one day the beautiful markets might disappear.

Because I am a hero, I walked back as well. I had 19,000 steps on my watch and was dead tired :) It wasn’t spectacular but still lovely.

Tomorrow I want to ride with Harly on the newly built bike path. Apparently, it was sponsored by us, so I have to ride on it :) I'm looking forward to it :)
