Day 14 Urubamba

Hello dear ones, here I am again. I originally wanted to stroll on German bike paths today, but things took a different turn. Harly had to go to the doctor with his mother. So there I was with no plan at all. Harly told me to just go for it, ask questions, and take action. It sounds really easy coming from someone who lives here, knows the language, and is 10 years younger. But alright, I then left the house without a plan, as I definitely didn't want to spend another day in Cusco. I then passed by a Collektivo (small bus) that had Urubamba written on it. Well, I had nothing else planned; for 6 Soles, which is not even 2 Euros, we're heading to Urubamba. The travel time is about 1.5 hours. The Collektivo was full, and there was only one spot at the back among three men. So I sat down there, and yes, I was the one with my shoulders forward because there was no more room. Off we went, and what can I say, of course, there were serpentines. It was somewhat like being in a gym. You really had to tense all your muscles to avoid falling onto the person next to you in the curve. We then arrived in Urubamba. It's supposedly the sacred valley of the Incas. Hmm, I walked through the whole city, then up to the mountains, and finally to the river. A pretty little town. But somehow I felt like I hadn't found the right place in town, or let's say the interesting place. It was already late, and I had to figure out a Collektivo back to Cusco. I had also promised to cook today. It was found quite quickly, this time with a good single seat by the window. Oh right, 15 people fit in there. I counted carefully ;). Somehow the young man on the way back took some back roads. In Cusco, we were then let out again, but I truly had no idea where I was. Google Maps always helps, and so I made my way to the Plaza de Armas and then treated myself to a taxi. Something was expected of me after all; I was supposed to want to cook, and it should taste good too :)

Tomorrow evening at 9:00 PM, I will be sitting on a night bus to Lake Titicaca, so I can't write, and I will be back here on Friday morning. I hope with great photos and many new impressions. Sending you all hugs, and I can't wait for tomorrow....
