Hello dear ones, today I went hiking on my own, chose a route on Koomot, and just did it. And yes, I also hiked up the mountain. It was great. I had fun, and it wasn't exhausting at all, considering the altitude and so on. I left around 10:00 AM, shared an Uber to the city center with Ludwig, my current roommate at the accommodation. Then we went our separate ways. The ascent through the city was beautiful. Then I continued on to Sacsayhuaman. I was supposed to pay 70 Soles for the entrance fee, but I opted out since I wanted to hike and could still see the impressive ruins well from a distance. Then I headed to Cristo Blanco. My peak cross for today. I got up there and what can I say… it was crowded, full of people and cars. There was a really huge parking lot at my personal peak cross. People were actually taking rides up there. And here I am, the hero walking ;). I was kind of proud of myself :)). The view from up there was magnificent. And then there were these lovely little grandmas with their goods for sale. And Ines could use a few things too. For grandkids, children, and herself. Well, when I was done 'shopping,' it occurred to me that it was only halfway done. Well, what can you do? Everything had to be carried back; turning back was not an option. But it went quite well. The trail was excellent; I was now at the top, could go no higher. A pleasant circular path, and then ready for the descent again. Once back in Cusco, I visited a few shops to buy something for my middle daughter. That worked out well via video chat. Moms are the best :). Then to the accommodation, quickly bought groceries to cook, invited Ludwig over again since I will be moving to Harly and Sandra's tomorrow. I'm a bit sad; that was a cool shared flat, super interesting. But that's just how it is. And what can I say, I am looking forward to tomorrow
