Today we said goodbye to Lombok. At 9:30 AM, the shuttle bus picked us up and took us to the airport.
I had already completed the online check-in with the airline from the hotel. Our flight was booked with Wing Air, a subsidiary of Lion Air. A quick Google search revealed that the airline had since been removed from the blacklist and was even allowed to land in Europe. That wasn't very reassuring - but we didn't have a choice anyway.
The baggage drop-off was smooth, and the security check was without any waiting. Lombok does have an international airport, but it is quite small.
We then waited at the gate for our flight. A little less than half an hour after our scheduled departure time, we were off. There was no announcement; we only saw another passenger going through the gate and joined them. Behind the door was a long, deserted corridor. It was said to go to the right. So we walked along there. At the next gate, an employee was just setting up a signpost. It was only at the next gate that we could go down and walk completely alone to the airplane - a small propeller plane.Signpost to the exit towards the airplane
With a delay of about 40 minutes, we took off. The flight itself was uneventful - it was only a 30-minute flight. Unfortunately, it was relatively hazy, so we could only see the coastline. The tall volcanoes on Lombok and Bali were shrouded in clouds.

Exiting the plane was similar to boarding: from the parking position in the second row, we walked uncoordinated across the apron to an entrance into the airport building.

After landing, we picked up our luggage and were then taken by shuttle to our hotel in Sanur.
Shortly after 3 PM, we arrived at the hotel. After checking into our rooms, we explored a small stretch of the beach promenade.

After a stop at the hotel for coffee and cake, it was time to head down the beach promenade in the other direction.
Before we went for dinner at a small restaurant on the beach, we enjoyed another round of cocktails at the hotel bar. After all, we had to make the most of happy hour.
