Day 24: Back to Germany

Today was the day to say goodbye. Our scheduled shuttle picked us up promptly from the hotel. We drove to the airport on the empty highway. After checking in and going through security, we actually wanted to grab a coffee since there was no breakfast at the hotel yet, but with prices starting at nearly 5 euros per cup, we decided to skip it and hoped for coffee on the plane.

Unfortunately, boarding was delayed, so we started with a 20-minute delay.

The flight itself was again uneventful. It was only 5 hours and 20 minutes long.

We landed in Berlin at 2 PM. There, we were greeted by temperatures just over 20°C - compared to yesterday, it was only half as warm.

Unfortunately, the luggage took a while to arrive; we stood at the baggage claim for about 45 minutes until our three pieces of luggage showed up.

We then took the shuttle bus to the parking lot. The drive home went smoothly without traffic, so we were back home shortly before 6 PM.

This interesting vacation came to an end.
