Here in Masuria, all places have two names. We landed in Mikolajki or Nikolaiken. This is of course related to history, but let's skip that for now.
Around the area, there are many lakes with even more activities such as sailing, motorboating, sitting on a pleasure boat, and drinking Aperol.
We decided on a bike tour along the lakes. On a bumpy path, we naturally encountered the Pope by the roadside and tried very delicious pierogi with fresh chanterelles in an inconspicuous garden restaurant, where the selection was not easy at all, because the
menus here were only in Polish.
