Hello,
yes, I'm back from the jungle in Bangkok.
But for the past few days, I've been surrounded by nature, specifically in Khao Sok and Khao Sok National Park, and it was the right decision to go there.
It was the perfect refreshment before heading back home very soon.
Enjoying pure nature was at the top of my to-do list. And I did, I enjoyed it. The welcome was perfect when I sat on my terrace on the first day and suddenly heard crackling in the forest, and behold, wild monkeys made their way over to the resort area. It was truly admirable to finally feel free-roaming animals nearby. Fantastic.
The next day, we went on a special trip to the national park, specifically to the reservoir, and it was really worth it.
When we arrived at the reservoir, it was time to say goodbye to the civilized world. We took a longtail boat across the lake directly into nature. There was a resort made up of several bamboo huts on a raft.
Once we arrived, we had a good meal and then continued our first excursion into the jungle with the longtail boat. From there, we walked for about 2 hours to a cave that we had to hike through, crawl through, and even swim through.
Afterwards, we returned and enjoyed a delicious dinner, followed by the peace and tranquility of nature. Simply amazing.
The next morning, we went out on the lake early with the boat to search for wild animals. Unfortunately, they were scarce, and we only saw a few monkeys and birds. If I were an animal, I would also prefer to hide when a group of humans passes by. But the scenery was also beautiful.
After breakfast and some relaxation time, we set off again with the boat to another island on the reservoir, where we hiked through the forest for another 2 hours. It was exhausting, especially the steep climb uphill for 1 hour, but it was worth it. After the hiking tour, we were able to enjoy another good meal, relax a bit, and then take the longtail boat back across the lake towards the dam, where the excursion ended.
The rest of the time, I tried doing nothing and simply enjoyed the nature around me.
Today, I'm heading back to Krabi and then flying to Bangkok. And here, I will spend the next 2 days winding down my journey.
I will check in again in 2 days with the concluding words for this wonderful trip.
Until then, thank you.
