After we spent the last few days just chilling on our regular beach or at our own pool (since there were a lot of jellyfish on the beach) and therefore didn't experience anything worth reporting, I'm back today with a little report.
This time we decided to visit some beaches other than Surin Beach. The first stop was Banana Beach , a secluded, quiet beach in untouched nature that we had already visited on our last stay in Thailand the previous year.
Access to the small beach can be found via relatively steep paths. There are a total of 3 entrances that could easily be overlooked from the street if there weren't so many scooters parked there.
The beach itself, as well as the water, are absolutely clean and there are refreshment stands with seating and even a massage shop. Some excursion boats dock from time to time and bring tourists over for a more or less short stay.
Overall, the beach is quite quiet and definitely worth recommending.
After we refreshed ourselves with a Chang and cooled off in the sea, we continued to the next beach.
At Nai Thon Beach, about 3 km further north, the only thing worth mentioning is the Naithon beach wooden bridge . The wooden footbridge leads down to the sandy beach and is a nice photo opportunity. The beach itself can be reached from the road a few hundred meters further on, without the strenuous descent or ascent, through a row of shady trees. There are numerous stalls, shops and bars on the street itself. All in all very touristy and not very inviting for us.
We refreshed ourselves at the end of the beach at Beach & Bubbles with a chilled atmosphere and cool music before we started the journey back.
Our beach hopping ended at the Hugo Hub on Bang Tao Beach , where we enjoyed our dinner. This beach is relatively long, which means the visitors are spread out and it appears quite empty. Many restaurants, loungers and resorts line the beach. Quite nice, but it doesn't have the flair of Surin Beach , which will remain our favorite beach here.
